just love getting decked out!! :-)

apparently fir trees don't grow so well at the north pole, so polar bears have to make do.
Nanook  (2016)
True that, even a bit south of the north pole they call them pencil trees, they grow tall and skinny due to the short summer growing season.

never knew that - interesting!

@nheiges I decided to try and add more to your scene as a experiment and didn't have any problems so you weren't at your limit, not sure why you needed to simplify your scene. Sometimes I think it can be the language and sometimes I have found my positioning of say 2 different things overlap so it confuses but I can't say for sure what might have needed you to simplify yours. ??

oh and btw an incredible exhibition of patience in placing the ornaments. :-)

Haha - I think my patience was running out when it was telling me to simplify, so I didn't try too hard to troubleshoot. :-)
