This is so funny!! It's clear who got the looks in the family! :-)
nheiges  (2017)
Oh, and my comment was a compliment, not an insult, to the lovely and hopeful Tabbitha.:-)
Nanook  (2017)
haha either way it's funny :-)

Here you go, I'm uploading my actual 7th Grade portrait just so you can compare.

Oh you don't want to see mine and I don't want the "Oh you poor thing" sympathy that comes with it. I forgot to turn in the notice about when pic day was and as fate would have it I wore favorite attire that wasn't exactly a photo op outfit. I think school pics are at best a record of us in a developmental state that we would often prefer not to remember. thanks goodness we are survivors and can look back with humor. ;-) BTW I always thought braces were cool a kind of status symbol and secretly wanted some. :-)

I don't think I got any status benefits from braces, haha. Yes, from this distance we can look back with humor and sympathy on our awkward younger selves! :-) Did you ever see the TV show Freaks & Geeks? It's one of my favorite things ever, and the opening credits (link) are awkward school pics - just priceless. It's just 48 seconds long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdUCGiF-yaA
