| Every once and a while we get on these morbid streaks. Guess it's human nature. | |

I thought about calling it A Day with the Reapers - but save that for the storyboard, I guess.
Originally, I just wanted to use the balloon filter to show a chubby grim reaper - something like "pregnant reaper has a new outlook on life" or "this was me six months ago and then I took Slimfast". But when I saw two reapers side by side (also reminded me of Mel Brook's inquisition chorus line), got this idea. Holding the balloon and umbrella wouldn't have occured to me if I hadn't seen Bob's grim reaper example, which kind of started this streak (can't use clowns all the time, although he makes a cameo here)

Oh yeah, and that nose just happened to be in the right place, given the right camera angle.
By the way, reaper junior's balloon could use some vertex normal adjustment.

interesting how a balloon effect idea turned into real balloons. A design process built on puns!
speaking of balloon effects. It would be interesting to have a ballooning effect that could be applied to the 3d objects themselves. Could do other warping too. Shouldn't be too hard to implement. Something to try out when I'm bored.
The balloon object is now smoothed.

| Yeah, mostly (in the two times I've used it) I want the balloon effect just for one object, which requires centering it and hoping the distortion's not too evident on the rest of the scene. Although in this case, it added a little regal arch to the other reapers (and a little extra curve to the scythes) which was a bonus. | |
