Lights are special objects that illuminate the scene. Lights can have any color and be positioned like other objects. They are, however, invisible themselves and only cause other objects to be illuminated.

The green light is two feet above the dog.

The sun is a special light. The position of the sun depends on the time of day.Time of day affects both the sun position and the sky color (e.g., it becomes black with stars at night). You can specify time of day as:

It is dawn.
It is morning.
It is noon.
It is sunset.
It is dusk.
It is evening.
It is night.

The color of the sun can be changed like any other light. If the sun is made black, then it emits no light.

The camera-light is a special light that is positioned at the viewpoint. This ensures that the scene is illuminated even in the absence of direct sunlight.

The sun and camera-light can have colors assigned or made darker or lighter, just like normal lights.
The ambient-light is a special light that has no position but makes everything brighter. This ensures that the scene is illuminated even in the absence of any other lights.
