Ginger's eyes glazed as the embers from Mr. Bill's burning cigar became flames . They danced and climbed almost playfully and she was briefly reminded of her pups before coming to her senses.
Sandra and Fred were fast asleep as Ginger's nails softly clicked across the wood flooring for the last time. She sauntered through the open front door, another gift from Mr. Bill's visit.
Ginger rubbed a litte soot above her eye and across her snout as she watched the flames take the first floor. She wanted the struggle she described to Mr. Bill as she barely escaped the roaring fire to seem as real to him as possible.
Mr. Bill wasn't a bad guy, just careless. Because of his carelessness he gave Ginger a few gifts. Because of her cleverness, Mr. Bill was about to give Ginger a whole lot more.
