Watching the eclipse at work today.
The pattern on the ground shows the eclipse shapes reflected through the trees - it was pretty cool!

I remember the one in the UK (1999) - it was quite eerie

We saw about a 99% eclipse, so it didn't get fully dark. But it was a strange feeling nonetheless.

was only about 33% here (at mom's) so it only got cooler and dimmer but I got pictures of the sun shining through the leaves on the sidewalk and it was definitely strange can't wait to download them to the computer, but I have to do a round about cause that lightning strike a while back blew out the port(?) and I can't do it directly. :-(

Thanks! I had failed to get glasses before they sold out (or went up to $100 on Amazon), but some folks in the electronics department made pinhole camera boxes for unprepared spectators. Another work friend set up a telescope to project the eclipse on a card. The eclipse shadows on the ground were absolutely the best part though! @Nanook, you'll have to post a pic here when you get back home :-)
