lovingly reflected in malachite green

It was in the 80s (about 28C) here yesterday, KAWE. But no butterflies yet.

That's a coincidence, we were at a butterfly centre last week, and saw the one in the background here...
nheiges (2018)
Neat coincidence! They're a relatively common butterfly around here but it's always a thrill to see one, the markings are so dramatic and beautiful

I have been seeing butterflies at home for about a week but here at mom"s we've been frozen under ice for 2 1/2 days so nothing here,
nheiges (2018)
I hope the ice is not on the roads or power lines.
Nanook (2018)
well yes there have. been outages and tree limbs down all around us but fortunately not in mom's yard. I knew we were expecting it so I bought enough groceries to hunker down for a few days and had paperwork to do anyway so didn't leave the house for three days. All is well and the weather has improved. I love a good storm/weather event as long as no one is hurt so it was kind of cathartic. I know I'm crazy but oh well. :-)
nheiges (2018)
I'm glad you enjoyed the terrible weather :-)

Wow :)
